In the digital age, comics and web novels are leading the way in pop culture content, as they have been recognized as the most suitable content for the internet environment. Cheongang University of Culture and Industry’s Comic Content School provides in-depth professional education covering various areas of content such as comics, webtoons, planned comics, storytelling, illustration, planning, publishing, criticism, web novels, screenplays, and light novels through faculty members who are actively working in the internet content industry and specialized curriculum. The school offers a variety of liberal arts classes and programs to help students create, and specialized major classes to train web content professionals through in-depth lectures for a total of six semesters. In addition, students can receive one-on-one mentoring from their professors through the Critical Class every semester, and through close cooperation with various industry-academia partners, we also conduct recruitment projects by inviting digital platforms and publishers.

Major of Webtoon Comic Contents

We realize in-depth professional education covering various areas of webtoon and comic contents through faculty members who are active in the comic industry such as webtoon and comics, storytelling, illustration, planning, criticism, and education, and specialized curriculum. We support free creative activities through open education that respects students’ individuality and values regardless of style, genre, and content.

Major of Web Novel Creation

The Web Novel Creation Major trains public-friendly content professionals who can play an active role in the storytelling industry. This includes web novel writers, genre literature writers, and various screenwriters, as well as planners and producers in related industries. To this end, students conduct full-scale research and creation of genre literature such as romance, fantasy, science fiction, martial arts, horror, mystery, and thriller, and acquire practical skills in publishing, criticism, and planning.
